Catie Mason Named Assistant Administrator of Renaissance Marquis in Rome, Ga., a Premier Retirement Village

ROME, Ga. (May 17, 2018) – Catie Mason, LPN, has been named the assistant administrator of Renaissance Marquis, a premier assisted living and retirement facility serving Floyd County.

In her new role, Mason will help to oversee every aspect of day-to-day operations of Renaissance Marquis in providing care to residents and their loved ones at the award-winning senior living community.

Starting as a caregiver in Renaissance Marquis’ The Harbor, memory care wing in 2012, Mason was later promoted to director of The Harbor after earning her CNA and CMA certifications.

“Catie’s passion for seniors and expertise in caregiving have played such an important part in making Renaissance Marquis a special place for so many seniors. She has a passion to serve and lead our team as they continue to deliver the highest level of care and services for our residents,” Renita Carnes, executive director of Renaissance Marquis, said.

Mason recently completed the Fred Pryor Criticism & Discipline Skills For Managers And Supervisors program and as well as the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia care training. She regularly attends Georgia Senior Living Association training seminars to stay current on statewide senior caregiving standards.

“Over the past five years the residents, caregivers team and family members at Renaissance Marquis have become my family. I believe caring for seniors is my personal calling, and I cannot imagine doing anything else with my career. I am so honored to serve my hometown in this new role,” she said.

A native of Rome, Ga., Mason is a graduate of Georgia Northwestern Technical College, where she earned her Licensed Practical Nurse designation. She and her husband, Doug, have been married for five years and have one daughter and another on the way. They are members of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
