Renaissance Marquis Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Community Open House
ROME, Ga. (November 14, 2017) – Renaissance Marquis celebrated 20 years of service with a community open house on October 12.
Renaissance Marquis opened for occupancy in May 1997. Legacy Senior Living acquired the premier assisted living facility serving Rome, GA, in 2008. After a full-scale renovation, the facility celebrated the 20-year success with the city and community partners. The 20-year open house was a great success. Many members of the Rome community, as well as many Renaissance Marquis family members, were in attendance.
“If you haven’t seen our community lately, then you haven’t seen us at all. We completed a full-scale renovation of the senior living community. Our aspiration in this project was to make the facility a better home for our residents,” Barry Ray, president of Legacy Senior Living, said.
Renaissance Marquis also recognized resident, Peggy Pittman, who has lived at the facility since the first night it opened in 1997. Pittman and a caregiver were the only two people who stayed at Renaissance Marquis the first two nights of occupancy.
“We want to thank everyone who came out to our event. We had such a good time celebrating the 20 years of Renaissance Marquis. We had great food, good music from the band Pollard Greens, and enjoyable fellowship with members of our community,” Blake Ray, executive director of Renaissance Marquis, said.
“Legacy Senior Living is so honored to have had the opportunity to serve this community for the last nine years. We are thankful for the team that built the beautiful facility and gave us the opportunity to serve the people here,” Ray said.
