ROME, Ga. (September 17, 2015) – Dr. Jay Schecter, newly appointed medical director at Renaissance Marquis, will be welcomed at a community “Meet and Greet” on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the assisted living and Alzheimer’s care facility in Rome, Ga.

The public is invited to meet Dr. Schecter, participate in guided tours of the beautiful 11-acre campus, and enjoy light refreshments. Renaissance Marquis is located at 3126 Cedartown Hwy SW, Rome.

“Dr. Schecter’s impressive background in neurology, including headache and epilepsy, as well as clinical research, is without a doubt going to make a tremendous impact on the level of medical care offered at Renaissance Marquis, and we are excited for the Rome community to meet him,” said Barry Ray, president of Legacy Senior Services, which manages Renaissance Marquis.

“As medical director, Dr. Schecter will be playing an integral role in providing personal medical attention to our residents and assurance to their families,” Ray said.

Dr. Schecter has practiced at the Harbin Clinic in Rome since 1988, is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and holds a medical degree from the University of Miami.

He is associated with the American Association for the Study of Headache, the National Headache Foundation, the American Council for Headache Education, and the American Academy of Neurology.
